His attitude certainly does change. After the principal has a meeting with him, Ben begins to see that his staff is against him. He sees that his students are losing the spark of imagination and creativity. They wait for instructions from him rather than taking their own initiative. Ben finally shows his fascist film at the end to prove his final point and the kids are brought back to reality.
