David says, "I didn't say I wasn't bothered by it. I just said its over now. Forget about it. It happened once and the world learned its lesson. It'll never happen again." Is this an example of being naive; why or why not?

I think this is an example David being a teenager and not wanting to deal with a perplexing emotionally charged time in history. David would rather play football than enter into a historical debate.
