Oilver is lamenting the loss of a wild, beautiful garbage dump (yes, a waste dump). She writes about the nature (snakes, turtles, birds), and the beauty of shrubbery amidst discarded items...... randomness, silence, isolation, and the way life never ceases to intrude....... reclaim the landscape, even after what seems like complete devastation (burning).
