The War of the Worlds

Is the narrator more afraid of the visitors, or is he intrigued by them?

In the first paragraph the narrator states “I was a battleground of fear and curiosity." As the text unfolds, which emotion prevails—fear or curiosity? In an essay of 150 words or more, argue the narrator’s attitude toward the aliens. Be sure to cite specific details from the excerpt to support your analysis.

Sorry, I can't write your essay for you. The Narrator manages to survive past the end of the invasion mostly unharmed. Despite the relative stoicism he displays throughout the novel, prolonged exposure to the atrocities that the alien invaders inflict upon humanity takes a serious toll on his sanity. He experiences a temporary mental breakdown but eventually recovers after receiving care from other survivors; he is finally able to unite with his wife by the end of the novel.
