What are the three problems Louis finds himself with?

1) Louis cannot communicate, he is a mute.

2) He learns to read and write but the other swans cannot, thus, he is still an outcast.

3) Louis is unable to find a mate because of his failure to comunicate, which leads his father to steal a trimpet and break a window.
