The Truman Show

Truman Show Question

Think about the racial makeup of Seahaven. Various races are present but, as a whole, the community is predominately white. It also somewhat resembles the 1950s-1960s. Why do you think this is?

I think this is done on purpose. A happy stereotypical piece of America had to look like it was dominated by whites. It fits with the underlying motif of American normalcy: the illusion of the American Dream. Of course, the whole TV show is really just an illusion.
