In "Field Trip" in what way is this visit different from his first experience there?

O'Brien's first visit was as a soldier..... he was there to participate in war. His second visit was personal. For his daughter is was a field trip..... a sightseeing tour. For O'Brien, it was a way to remember and find closure.
