I think you are talking about how they treat Gonzalo. They are rather mean spirited to him. They mock Gonzalo's upbeat attitude. While Gonzalo sees the Island as having "lush and lusty grass," Antonio and Sebastian see it as rank and gross. They call Gonzago's words of comfort “cold porridge."
