The Taming of the Shrew

Taming of the Shrew

What does Kate mean when she says: “She is your treasure, she must have a husband;/ I must dance barefoot on her wedding day” (ll. 35-36)?

Kate is referring to what she believes is her father's preference for her sister.... who Katherine believes is the favorite child. She sees her father as only worried about Bianca's future.... she is, quite frankly, jealous.
