What role does water play in chapter four that is similar to role in played in a previous chapter?

Water represents rebirth and the washing away of negative emotions and circumstances. Water is seen in washing, a water hose, and nurturing of bees. For Lilly water represents a baptism: the end of her life with abusive T.Ray and the beginning of life with the nurturing Boatwright home.
