Remorse seen by Marguerite

From the beginning through the end of the novel, Marguerite comes to regret underestimating her husband. She also comes to regret that she never asked for help, often acted in a deceitful way, and refused to trust the people who would have helped her. Marguerite grows up, opens up, and learns to trust.
