The Scarlet Pimpernel

Lord Anthony

*Note Lord Anthony Dewhurst's suspicions about the two strangers playing dominoes.

*Notice also that he frequently takes trips to and from France.

Considering the last paragraphs of chapter 1 and the three people who come to the pub in chapter 3, what can we deduce about Lord Anthony?

Lord Anthony is one of the men arrested at the pub, then he disappears from the novel. Because he is one of the Pimpernel's most devoted followers, we can ascertain that he sees the men playing dominoes as some type of spies.......

Actually, we might also deduce Lord Anthony's position and loyalty to the Pimpernel.
