What happens at the end of the chapter that illustrates the minister's point?

At the end of this chapter, Hester is invited by a known witch, to join in "witch" activities. The minister has pointed out that Pearl is both a blessing and a curse; in this case, Hester refuses to go "down the Satanic road" because she is able to keep Pearl. In this way Pearl has proven a blessing.
