What did Chillingworth ask Dimmesdale to do? How did he respond?
Chillingworth suggests that Dimmesdale can never be cured as long as he conceals anything; the minister says that his sickness is a "sickness of the soul" and cries out that he will not reveal his secret to "an earthly physician."
