Can anyone offer advice for close reading? I'm terrible at it and have to close read parts of Chapter Seven by tomorrow. Help?

Close Reading...
Take notes on anything you consider "important" while you are reading. Then, re-read your list of important moments in the text as a way of re-inforcing them. This will help you understand the text much better, as well as force you to read it closely.
