The Road: Hero's Journey

Plot the journey of the man and the boy on a hero cycle. I would say the boy was the hero, even though the man did most of extreme hard work, he died so it is up to the boy to continue on and bring the fire. I aam just confused on which parts of the book were significant to put on the hero cycle.

Sorry, I can't plot Joseph Campbell's hero's journey for you but you can interpret the boy through this lens. He certainly isn't the archetypal hero: this is a dead world and there is no real quest. It would be interesting to speculate though.
