Why do you suppose Henry has become so eager to condemn "the generals" for the army"s lack of success? ( Chapter 14 - 16 )

Henry is so full of himself at this time that he would blame anyone other than the men who are actually fighting. His supposed "badge" has given him confidence that was previously lacking.... and he's almost ready to believe it himself.
