The Red Badge of Courage

What does Henry notice in his friend Wilson? How, in your opinion does Wilson provide a fool, or contrast, to Henry?

This all depends what chapter you are referring to. Early in the novel Wilson is a loud braggart while Henry is terrified about battle. Later in the novel, Wilson changes. He becomes much more soft spoken and realistic about war and violence.
