in Poisonwood bible, what was adah not able to do?

Adah is lame; she cannot walk well, and when she does it's very slowly.

Adah was born with a disability,her whole left side doesn't work. She can't walk well because of her left leg. Which is the reason why she limps.

Adah was born with a disabled left side of her body. She can't walk well because of her left leg, which triggers the rest of her left side to her leg. This is the reason why she limps when she walks.

But, is that really what she has?! A disabled left body? That sounds like to me like her whole body would be like that...disabled...
