What is the symbolism of the road and the traveler in Frost’s “The Road Not Taken”?

The road is symbolic of choices, decisions that are life changing. An example is the fork in the road. The traveler symbolizes every man.... as we all come to a point in out lives where we have to choose one road or the other.
