THE MUSIC OF LISZT

I have spent quite some time listening to "Un Sospiro" by Liszt and must admit that I find it more of a performance rather than study material. To me it's the kind of music that you would use get people to "notice you". But than again I have listened to Liszt's "Consolation No 3 in D Flat major which I find absolutely stunning. It is a beautiful piece of music. I want to study one of the 2 of these pieces. What would you suggest? Go for the heavy or keep it simple?
