What do we learn about Charlie’s past? Does this answer Charlie’s questions of “what is wrong with me?”

We learn that Charlie had been molested by his Aunt Helen. This realization could be considered the end and the beginning. It could have destroyed him, but it didn't. And yes, it answered a lot of questions.
