I can't write your essay for you but I can make a general comment. Juana understands her husband's limitations as an individual and as a man. She holds no illusions about the dangers of this pearl. She tries to persuade him to leave the Pearl that has hold over his heart. She even attempts to through it back into the ocean. In the end, Juana lives in a patriarchal society where man is next to God: she must do as he says.
