The Pearl

I have some question I wish you answer me

Why do Kino’s people sing songs? Give an example of a song and when Kino heard or sang a song in the book.

The songs represent feelings and thoughts that Kino and his family have at different times in their life. These songs are a tradition passed down from generation to generation in his culture. Sometimes the songs are peaceful, like the song of the family, and sometimes they are threatening like the song of the enemy. These songs resonate in Kino's head.
