I can only give you a general statement on this. Juana understands her husband's limitations as an individual and as a man. She holds no illusions about the dangers of this pearl. She tries to persuade him to leave the Pearl that has hold over his heart. She even attempts to through it back into the ocean. She understands that the pearl clouds Kino's judgment and makes him into an animal. Unfortunately, there is little that she can do to stop her husband.
