Describe the process Kino uses to dive for pearls.

Kino and Juana canoe out to deeper water. Kino attaches a rope to his leg anchored by a rock. He then free-dives (diving without oxygen) to look for a pearl. When he finds pearls or runs out of oxygen in his lungs, he releases the rope from his leg and floats up.
