How was the Livingston campus a welcome change to Sam and rameck

Campus was like living in a foreign country. There were no temptations and violence of their old neighborhood. The campus was luxurious compared to where they came from. They did not have to wonder when there next meal was coming. People were generally nice and not wanting something or challenging them.
