The desire for success and bettering their lives brings the boys together and solidifies their friendship. Each of the boys experiences times of emotional stress, which are tied to family members, conflicts within themselves, and occasional moments of self doubt. Their friendship binds them together, and their combined strength keeps them on the path to their dreams. When one woud stray from the path, the others provided encouragement. I'm not quite sure what you mean by their "loves".
