why would Two-Bit think Johnny, Dally, and Ponyboy were heros even before they saved the kids?

Two-Bit loves his gang. He is laid back and openly affectionate with Johnny, Dally, and Ponyboy. He aw them all as greasers and his friends/family. Two-Bit was able to see heroic qualities in each boy long before they did something respected by the public.
