i just at there and look at them i wasnt scared. it was the oddest feeling in the world i didnt feel in anything

i busted off the end of my bottle and held on to the neck and tossed my cigarette

Ponyboy is at a crossroad. He exhausted and confused. Bob's death, the ensuing questions...... everything has finally gotten to him, and he simply doesn't care anymore. He isn't frightened because he's numb. It's one of those moments where you think..... what else could possibly happen.
