Dally is much more forward than Pony. He has a lot more experience with life and is less innocent than Ponyboy. His way of dealing with girls is playful but rather offensive to girls like Cherry Valance. Dally likes to push buttons, especially when there are Socs involved. Ponyboy is sensitive and respectful to the girls.
