While laying in the hospital, Johnny realizes the importance of living.... of doing the right thing and taking opportunities as they present themselves. He realizes that his circumstances cheated him of the things that were important..... cheated him of learning what he wanted to learn and forcing him to learn the wrong things because he had no other choice.
