Bob has always been in trouble. The Socs agree that Bob is constantly testing his parents, that what he really wants is for them to tell him "no". In other words, he wants them to set some limits. To what Extent do teenagers want their parents to say "no"?

Even if they don't realize it, teens seek boundaries. The world can be a big bad scary place. Teens do get scared and parental boundaries are a way to navigate through their transition into adulthood.
