I think there is a unity and connection between people and the natural world. Pony feels comfort in the fact that Cherry, and really all the SOCS, live under this same sky. Their socio-economic separations are man made while really they are one as the day begins and ends. Cherry means that Socs a Greasers bot have problems and they live under the same sky.
