Even though Pony does not want to be a greaser and does not like many of the things that greasers do, the rumble allows him to be proud to be a greaser. Explain this contradiction.

When one becomes a part of the group and does something the group approves of, then it often happens that the immediate feeling is of pride for the belonging and the praise that comes from the group. While this seems a contradiction, the reality is that people desire peer approval and age wise and background wise, the Greasers are part of his life.
