Do you think Cherry was right when she told Ponyboy, “Things are rough all over?” Explain.

I think she has a point but it's harder to feel sorry for rich entitled Soc kids than it is for the struggling lower class kids like Ponyboy. Cherry is talking about the social and peer pressures at school where conformity is demanded. Cherry finds this stressful but I think poor kids like Pony or Johnny have a lot more to contend with. Consider Pony not being able to walk home from the movies alone without being jumped by the Socs.
