The different settings in the novel are the movie theater, the church on Jay Mountain, Windrixville (in the country), and the hospital.

The differences in the settings of the novel are the movies, the Curtis home, playground, Dairy Queen, hospital, the abandon church and the lot where they were watching the Movie at with cherry and Marcia
