Question: Ponyboy's problem with his family is very different from Johnny's problem at home. What does Johnny say would happen if he came home late? I think he said his parents will not care. Still answer :)

Johnny still has his parents but, as you mentioned, they do not care. Pony's brothers are his family and they care deeply for Pony. Darry is worried about Pony, which is why he gets angry when Pony comes home late. Darry is trying to keep the family together while Johnny's parents really just don't care.
