Chapter 12 : What message did Johnny leave in the book?

Johnny says that his death is "worth it," because the lives of the children he saved "are worth more than mine." He tells Pony to "stay gold". He wants Pony to keep his sense of wonder and goodness for ar long as he can. He tells Pony that there is "still a lot of good" in the world.
