When reading Gone with the Wind in the abandoned church, Johnny always thought that Dallas reminded him of Southern gentlemen. After witnessing Johnny's take charge attitude during the church fire, Pony felt that Johnny was more like the heroic and suave Southern gentlemen in the book.
