I think a vivid imagination is common to both characters. Vera uses it as a source of entertainment and even a source for antagonism. Framton uses it to scare himself and feed his obsessive anxiety. Other than imagination. Vera and Nuttel have very little in common, except for their acquaintance with Nuttel's sister.
