Do you think the rural setting of the bed and breakfast had any effect on Vera and her lie to Framton? Why? Or why not?

I think that the rural setting helped Vera spin her tall tale of hunting and ghosts. She probably identified Frampton as a city-dweller who had little knowledge of the country. Vera already had a fiendishly creative streak to her.
