the moral lesons that can be gained from this short story is infinite. The writer has vividly dveloped the literary elements of tone or anecdotal and characterisation. Although mathilde is resplendent and alluring extensively, she is not persistent and satisfied. As a result of her ignorance of beauty, she was destined to work 10 long years, sacrificing her beauty and fortitude and her external beauty slowly faded away. The writer is demonstrative throughout his witing style wich is ironic. It was matrydom to her and the 10 long years she spent had the potential of dissapearing her vanity and her valued gift of beauty . this vicissitude has stabilized from there in the short story, confirming the morality of adoring, humbleness and patience.
