What happens at the end of the story in "The most dangerous game?"

At the end of the story, Zaroff is getting ready to retire when a man appears from behind the curtains. The man is Rainsford, who obviously didn't die when he leapt off the cliff and into the water. Zaroff congratulates Rainsford on winning the game; Rainsford responds that the game is not yet over. In essence, the two men then agree that the winner will sleep in Zaroff's bed, and the loser will be dinner for the dogs. In the end, Rainsford is contemplating the comfort of Zaroff's bed.
