The Most Dangerous Game

Story

Does the plot have unity? Are all the episodes relevant to the total meaning or effect of the story? Does each incident grow logically out of the preceding incident and lead naturaly to the next?Is the ending happy, unhappy, or indeterminate? Is it fairly achieved?

The plot does have unity. Events predictably fall one after the other until the climax and resolution of the narrative. A hunt is foreshadowed by the early conversation between Whitney and Rainsford- we eventually get the "ultimate" hunt. Like all escape type or commercial fiction stories, the ending is to the satisfaction of the protagonist.
