personification/irony???

There is irony in the fact that Rainsford, a famous hunter, is being humted. Also Rainsford finally realizes what an animal would experience while being hunted. 

Personification: "Trying to peer through the dank tropical night that was palpable as it pressed its thick warm blackness in upon the yacht" 

"A sharp hunger was picking at him."
