how about zarrof remarks suggest about how he himself will behave later in the story ?

Zaroff continually repeats his prowess as a hunter. He defines himself in terms of hunting prey. Zaroff begins hinting that he needs a "new" animal. Of course, Rainsford takes awhile to clue into the fact that Zaroff wants to hunt him!
