What impact do Mr. and Mrs. White’s differing points of view in paragraphs 109-125 and paragraphs 133-139 have on Part III?

Mr. White knows it isn't good to bring anyone back from the dead yet his wife insists:

“Bring him back,” cried the old woman, and dragged him toward the door. “Do you think I fear the child I have nursed?”

This conflict hightens the tension as to exactly what might return whem Mr.White wishes dead Herbert to come home.
