The Mill on the Floss

How does Maggie feel towards Tom?

From an extract of Chapter 5. First paragraph begins with "Mrs. Tulliver stood with her arms open;". The extract ends with "what novelty is worth that sweet monotony where everything is known, and loved because it is known?"

Maggie never intentionally tries to frustrate her brother. Sometimes she forgets to do things but this is never done out of maliciousness. Tom always forgives Maggie in the end and Maggie accepts his forgiveness as his affection for her.
