what can we learn about ourselves from Franz Kafka, when in his story, Gregor Samsa is more worried about missing work than his transformation into a cockroach?

We can learn that we must not let work, the pursuit of money, or family expectations define who we are. Gregor is having existential crises. Even though he is turning into a bug, he clings to an identity that was destroying him in the first place.
